Job summary

Tenable is seeking a Technical Support professional to bridge our vulnerability management products and customers from our Columbia, MD HQ. You will troubleshoot complex issues, analyze logs and configurations, and provide timely, actionable guidance to enterprise clients in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in networking (TCP/IP), Linux/Unix, macOS, Windows administration, patch deployment, and system configuration.
• Experience providing technical support to enterprise clients; production troubleshooting; security experience a plus.
• Interest in AI/LLMs with hands-on experience; willingness to adopt AI-driven tools.
• Security knowledge; Nessus or similar tools familiarity a bonus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; quick learner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; customer-focused mindset.
• Multitasking in a fast-paced environment; meet business/client needs.
• Flexibility to work weekends/holidays.
• Onsite/Hybrid work at Columbia, MD.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and address customer technical inquiries; ensure timely resolution.
• Use remote troubleshooting techniques to diagnose and fix issues.
• Analyze vulnerability scans, system audits, and log events.
• Explain scan results and audits clearly; provide actionable guidance.
• Recreate customer issues in a lab for engineering assessment.
• Capture feedback for Product Management and R&D.
• Maintain deep knowledge of Tenable products and best practices.
• Create and publish reusable solution knowledge for customers and staff.
• Meet personal performance metrics; pursue career advancement within Tech Support.
