Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont is seeking a Customer Service Representative for the Federal Employee Program in Berlin, VT. The role begins on-site during training and transitions to a hybrid schedule after proficiency is reached.

Responsibilities include resolving member questions, documenting inquiries in CF, and achieving call-volume targets. Compensation is $18.00 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and retirement offerings.

Qualifications

• Analytical and critical thinking skills are required.
• Computer literacy, typing and spelling skills are required.
• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• 1–2 years of customer service experience, preferably in health insurance/healthcare.
• Ability to multitask, problem solve and work independently is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Complete training to gain knowledge and skills for answering member and provider questions.
• Use customer service skills to handle all interactions in a courteous and professional manner.
• Document, track, and research inquiries in CF according to guidelines.
• Meet call volume and quality goals to progress to higher CSR levels.
