Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont seeks a Customer Service Representative for the Federal Employee Program in Berlin, VT. The role starts with on-site training and will transition to a hybrid schedule, with in-office presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during training, then flexible remote work for the rest of the week.

Responsibilities include completing training, handling member and provider inquiries, documenting in CF, and reaching call-volume/quality targets to qualify for CSR II.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of successful customer service experience, preferably in health insurance or health care.
• Analytical and critical thinking skills required.
• Computer literacy, strong typing and spelling skills required.

Responsibilities

• Complete a program of classroom and on-the-job training to gain technical knowledge and customer service skills.
• Learn and utilize customer service skills to handle all customer interactions in a courteous and professional manner.
• Accurately document, track, and research inquiries in Customer Focus (CF) according to guidelines.
• Aim to meet call volume and quality goals as outlined in the Career Pathing Guidelines to progress to CSR II.
