Job summary

Hazen and Sawyer seeks a Corporate & Litigation Paralegal in Raleigh, NC to support the Legal Department with litigation matters, corporate governance, and IP administration. You will coordinate document collections, manage records, and assist with discovery, holds, and communications with outside counsel.

The role emphasizes collaboration with attorneys and internal stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, and supporting multiple legal initiatives in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree, Paralegal Certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of paralegal experience, including 5+ years of direct litigation support experience in a litigation-focused environment.
• Proven ability to support litigation, disputes, claims, subpoenas, collections matters from initiation to resolution.
• Familiarity with insurance claims administration and reporting.
• Proven ability to coordinate document collection efforts, productions, discovery, litigation holds, and matter management.
• Experience coordinating with IT on preservation efforts, email collections, records retrieval, or other discovery activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation, corporate governance, and entity management support.
• Assist with document productions, discovery activities, and litigation hold processes.
• Track custodians, deadlines, and matter status; monitor billings from outside counsel.
• Coordinate communications among outside counsel, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain matter files, cost records, and IP databases; support IP management processes.
