Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation & Intellectual Property Paralegal to support attorneys handling sophisticated commercial litigation and intellectual property matters in both state and federal courts. This position offers significant responsibility and direct involvement in complex disputes involving intellectual property, technology, software, business, and commercial issues. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys throughout all phases of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and post‑trial proceedings. This is a substantive role with meaningful ownership of case files and regular interaction with clients, experts, opposing counsel, courts, and litigation vendors. Candidates with strong Litigation experience will still be considered even without IP experience.
Three to five years of litigation paralegal experience with substantive responsibility supporting complex civil litigation matters. Experience with electronic filing in federal and state courts and familiarity with applicable procedural rules and litigation practices. Strong understanding of the litigation process, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple active matters simultaneously while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, legal research resources, document management systems, and litigation support software. Experience with electronic discovery platforms and document review workflows. Sound judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Authorization to work in the United States and ability to work onsite in the Raleigh area.
