Job summary

Flex is a growth-stage FinTech headquartered in New York City. We seek a detail-oriented Manager of Corporate Accounting to own month-end close, solidity of fixed assets, leases, software capitalization, payroll accounting, and share-based compensation.

You will partner with the Director of Corporate Accounting to build scalable processes and drive GAAP-compliant reporting in a fast-moving environment. This role is hybrid, based in our NYC headquarters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Active CPA license in good standing.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with ownership of technical accounting areas.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge including ASC 470, ASC 842, ASC 718, and ASC 350-40.
• Fintech/financial services experience preferred in high growth environments.
• Experience with ERP systems and financial close tooling; ERP implementation exposure is a plus.
• Solid internal controls experience and SOX compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close for core financial statement areas.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Design robust accruals process and drive forecasting of accrued liabilities.
• Identify improvements to close processes and automation opportunities.
• Communicate technical accounting conclusions to cross-functional teams.
• Support SOX readiness and strong internal controls.
• Collaborate with People, Legal, Treasury, and Strategic Finance.
