Job summary

Talentedge Recruitment Limited seeks a Senior Accountant for a fintech client in New York, handling month-end close, crypto accounting, SEC reporting and internal controls. You will collaborate with FP&A and senior leadership to drive improvements and ownership of processes.

The role requires 3+ years of accounting experience, CPA preferred, and fintech/digital assets exposure. Expect ERP/automation work and a fast-paced environment with NYC office four days per week.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of accounting experience across public accounting and industry.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Big 4 experience is a significant plus.
• Background in fintech, particularly digital assets or payments.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, IFRS.
• Experience with ERP systems, automation and complex reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Own and review month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Reconcile cryptocurrency wallets, exchanges and blockchain transactions.
• Support SEC reporting, financial statement preparation and external audits.
• Work closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Lead automation initiatives across balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close.
• Develop and improve accounting policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting operations and improve reporting efficiency.
• Monitor evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
