Job summary

Forter is seeking a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting team in a hybrid NYC-based role. You will manage monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal control processes while supporting GAAP-compliant reporting for both US and international entities.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of accounting experience in tech/SaaS, strong GAAP knowledge, and comfort with AI-enabled process improvements. Collaboration across global teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a technology or SaaS company.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly payroll journal entries for U.S. and international entities.
• Manage and reconcile key payroll-related accounts and accrued items.
• Own ASC 606 commission accounting including capitalization and amortization.
• Record accounting entries for internally developed software costs per U.S. GAAP.
• Support external auditors during annual audits and assist with reports.
