Atlas Search is seeking an Accounting Manager for its New York City hybrid corporate accounting team. The role offers broad ownership across close, GL, SOX controls, audit support, and financial reporting in a fast-growing environment. You will work with multiple stakeholders to ensure accurate, timely reporting and continuous process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience with month-end close
• Strong understanding of US GAAP
• Public + private industry background preferred

Responsabilités

• Own monthly and quarterly close including journal entries and GL activity
• Review AP, AR, cash, expenses, and fixed assets
• Support revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Prepare lease accounting under ASC 842
• Coordinate with SEC reporting on disclosures
• Lead SOX coordination and internal controls testing
• Collaborate with FP&A, Tax, and Audits
• Identify automation opportunities in close processes
• Maintain accounting policies and procedures
• Mentor junior accounting staff

Accounting Manager – Public AI Infrastructure Company | New York City | Hybrid - 2 Days

We’re partnering with a rapidly growing, publicly traded company operating at the intersection of AI infrastructure, high-performance computing, and data centers to hire an Accounting Manager for its corporate accounting team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants broad ownership across the close, GL accounting, SOX/internal controls, audit support, and financial reporting while working within a fast-growing public-company environment.

What You’ll Do

• Own key components of the monthly and quarterly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and GL activity
• Review AP, AR, cash activity, expense reporting, fixed assets, and other corporate accounting activity
• Support revenue accounting and deferred revenue schedules under ASC 606
• Prepare and maintain lease accounting schedules under ASC 842
• Partner with SEC Reporting on financial statement presentation, disclosures, and supporting schedules
• Lead SOX coordination, control documentation, testing support, and audit requests
• Work closely with FP&A, Tax, Operations, Internal Audit, and External Audit
• Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting and close processes
• Help maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Review the work of and provide guidance to junior accounting team members

What We’re Looking For

• 5–12 years of progressive accounting experience
• Combination of public accounting + private/industry experience required
• Strong hands-on corporate accounting background across journal entries, GL accounting, reconciliations, and close
• Experience reviewing accounting activity across AP, AR, fixed assets, and expenses
• SOX/internal controls experience; public accounting SOX exposure is sufficient
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with a major ERP; NetSuite is a plus
