Job summary

Towson University seeks a Coordinator for New Student & Family Programs to educate and engage families and students during their transition to campus. You will support family orientation, Family Weekend, and the Towson Family Network, while coordinating communications and program development.

The role includes supervision of interns and Orientation Leaders, with responsibilities spanning event planning, program assessment, and collaboration with campus partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• One year of work-related experience.
• Demonstrated skills in problem solving, program and/or event management, and public speaking.
• Master’s degree in higher education, counseling, or related field preferred.
• Proficient in Salesforce, graphic design, and video skills.
• Experience working with orientation, family programs, marketing/communications, and/or undergraduate admissions.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, direction, and coordination for the family orientation program, including curriculum design, collaboration with campus partners, assessment, and program logistics.
• Expand communication campaigns to families through CampusESP, Slate, NSFP website, and social media.
• Support planning and execution of Towson Family Network programs and events, including monthly meetings and calls, campus partnerships, and communication.
• Support planning and execution of Family Weekend; act as primary contact for evening social programs in coordination with Student Activities.
• Supervise graduate student summer intern(s) and oversee Orientation Leader staff year-round.
• Participate in planning and execution of Welcome to TU.
• Other duties as assigned.
