Job summary

ACC Recruiters is seeking a hands-on Controller for a high-growth U.S. organization with a strong parent company. You will lead a six-person accounting team, own month-end and year-end closes, and deliver accurate financial reporting for a $50M+ business.

The role reports to the VP of Finance and offers a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with a hybrid schedule and generous benefits. Responsibilities include optimizing processes, partnering with senior leadership, and driving improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
• Approximately 3-5+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience.
• Experience overseeing multiple areas of accounting (GL, close, payables, receivables, payroll, cash).
• Strong understanding of financial statements, general ledger accounting, close and GAAP.
• Experience with cash flow, working capital and operational accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day accounting function and manage a six-person team.
• Own monthly and year-end close processes and timely reporting.
• Review financial results and provide insights on performance and variances.
• Oversee billing, receivables, payables, payroll and cash activities.
• Manage cash flow and provide visibility into short-term needs.
• Maintain GAAP controls and internal policies; coordinate with auditors/tax firms.
• Oversee inventory accounting and related reconciliations.
• Evaluate and streamline accounting procedures to automate processes.
• Improve use of financial systems and reporting quality.
• Develop the accounting team through delegation and coaching.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial matters impacting the business.
