Proven Recruiting is seeking a Controller for a hybrid schedule to join a fast-growing, private equity-backed business with high-visibility leadership responsibilities. You will own accounting oversight in a high-transaction, acquisitive environment and support the CFO with quarterly and annual filings.

You are a CPA with 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, GAAP expertise, and prior management and acquisitions experience. This role offers growth and a top-tier benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and industry.
• Strong GAAP accounting skills.
• Prior management experience required.
• Experience with acquisitions in a private‑equity environment.

Responsibilities

• Own the accounting oversight for a high-transaction, acquisitive environment.
• Assist the CFO with quarterly and annual filings, registration statements, and financial statements.
• Coordinate audits and reviews with external public accountants.
• Lead the implementation of new accounting pronouncements and policies and ensure timely system changes.
• Act as a strategic leader on a high-performing accounting team.
