Job summary

Zurich North America seeks an experienced Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter, Construction PL, to join our Specialties Construction team. This hybrid role can be based at any Zurich office in the South or Western regions and will handle complex Construction Professional Liability accounts, serving as a SME on the team.

You will work with brokers and line of business leaders to identify growth opportunities, maintain underwriting discipline, and support a strong sales culture across

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3+ years of experience in underwriting or market facing areas OR
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6+ years in claims or underwriting support OR
• Experience with underwriting rules, guidelines and insurance regulations

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines and rating rules.
• Develop and collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and business needs.
• Provide guidance to lower level associates.
• Develop relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to retain and acquire business.
• Support sales culture by serving as a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities.
