Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter – Construction PL to join our Specialties Construction team. The role offers a hybrid schedule and can be based in multiple South or Western locations.

You will handle complex Construction Professional Liability accounts and serve as a subject matter expert. You will develop underwriting guidelines, collaborate across lines of business, and drive growth through broker and distributor relationships

Qualifications

• The candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic underwriting principles.

Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor underwriting rules, regulations, and rating annual rules.
• Develop and collaborate with Line of Business on referrals and business needs.
• May provide guidance to lower level associates.
• Maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) to support retention and growth.
• Support sales culture by serving as Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
• Seek renewal and new account opportunities.
• Complete opportunity assessment with distributors to identify growth.
• Qualify accounts to align with appetite and business opportunities.
• Conduct broker/customer on-site calls with prepared purpose.
