Job summary

Zurich North America is seeking an experienced Underwriting Specialist or Executive Underwriter for Construction Professional Liability. The role supports a hybrid schedule and can be based at various Zurich offices in the South or West regions.

Responsibilities include handling complex Construction Professional Liability accounts, advising on underwriting rules, and collaborating with agents and brokers to grow business. Strong knowledge of MS Office and regulatory guidelines is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of underwriting/market facing experience OR 6+ years in claims/underwriting support; Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice options also listed.
• Knowledge of lines of business and regulatory guidelines; knowledge of quotes for new/renewal business; experience with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Administer underwriting rules and guidelines; monitor insurance laws and rating rules.
• Develop and maintain referrals with line of business reps; collaborate with distributors and customers.
• Provide guidance to lower level associates when applicable.
• Support sales by acting as a point of contact for agents, brokers, and customers.
• Seek renewal and new account opportunities and perform opportunity assessments.
