Job summary

Responsibilities

• Manages low to moderate complexity commercial claims by verifying coverage and documenting files.
• Interacts with insureds, claimants and partners; provides timely updates and handles inquiries.
• Verifies coverage, estimates value, and reserves liabilities per policy language.
• Investigates to determine liability and compensability; gathers statements and facts.
• Collaborates with internal/ external resources to achieve best outcomes.
• Authorizes disbursements within authority; negotiates settlements as needed.
• Identifies subrogation, salvage opportunities or potential fraud for further review.
• Ensures compliance with state/local insurance laws and company guidelines.
