Job summary

Capital Insurance Group is hiring an Underwriting Trainer to develop, implement, and monitor training for underwriting staff across Commercial and Agriculture lines. You will collaborate with regional managers and subject matter experts to keep materials up to date and relevant.

You will lead training initiatives, create reference material, and evaluate program effectiveness while working independently under the Director - Underwriter Development & Audit.

Qualifications

• Degree in education and at least one year experience in insurance or finance underwriting or 5+ years in training.
• Provide a motivational learning environment for newly hired staff.
• Ability to facilitate instructor-led training in classroom and virtual environments.
• Proficient analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, facilitate and monitor training activities and program effectiveness.
• Create and evaluate training and reference material.
• Evaluate employee development in relation to training programs.
• Lead training-related projects with subject matter experts.
• Support Underwriting staff to ensure fundamentals and processes are well taught.
