Job summary

Cooley seeks a Technology Cloud Security Architect to design and maintain security architecture across cloud environments, identify risks, and lead security-related initiatives in a hybrid in-office/remote setting.

The role requires deep expertise in cloud security controls, incident response, and CI/CD security practices. Strong collaboration with the Technology Infrastructure team is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct applicable experience in cloud architecture security.
• Extensive knowledge of security controls and secure migration to cloud providers (Azure/AWS).
• Experience building Cloud Security Frameworks using CSA and NIST CSF.
• Experience implementing security tools and architecture in cloud environments (DLP, WAF, encryption).
• Familiarity with incident response procedures and security incident handling.
• Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a security architecture framework aligned to enterprise strategy.
• Architect and coordinate security technologies for a secure, usable cloud environment.
• Create architectural reference patterns for technology deployment across the organization.
• Lead risk and security assessments and manage security lifecycle activities.
• Develop strategies for security incident handling and breach responses.
• Provide direction on identity and access management for cloud services and SDLC security.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure security is integrated into projects.
• Stay current with security technologies and threat landscapes to strengthen posture.
