Job summary

Recology is seeking an experienced cloud security professional to evolve our security posture across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on expanding security capabilities in cloud platforms while protecting existing systems.

The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote. You will partner with IT, engineering, and data teams to embed security into architecture, migration, and operations, and drive threat detection and incident response initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in information security with hands-on Azure cloud security experience.
• 5+ years across GCP/AWS/Azure security.
• Experience aligning security with regulatory frameworks (NIST CSF, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, CCPA).
• Strong technical skills in cloud security controls, IAM, endpoint security, and device compliance.
• Proven cross-team collaboration to embed security in design and operations.
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection.
• Scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python).
• Customer-focused mindset and high-quality service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Designs, implements, and manages security controls across cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Embed security into architecture, migration, and deployment processes during cloud transitions.
• Establishes cloud security baselines, guardrails, and configuration standards.
• Configures native cloud security services (Defender, Security Center, Security Hub).
• Acts as cloud security SME supporting design reviews, threat modeling, and validation.
• Integrates security with IT, engineering, and data teams.
• Identifies and remediates security gaps in cloud and hybrid architectures.
• Develops threat detection capabilities with SIEM and telemetry.
• Participates in incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Develops automation for monitoring, alerting, and response.
