Job summary

Cooley LLP in Los Angeles seeks a Technology Cloud Security Architect to join the Security team. This role focuses on protecting the firm's cloud environments and building secure architectures.

Hybrid schedule, on-call rotation, collaboration with enterprise architects, and strong emphasis on security controls, risk management, and incident response. The candidate will lead security architecture initiatives and mentor others.

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct applicable experience in cloud architecture security.
• Experience configuring security controls and secure migration to major cloud providers (Azure preferred, AWS).
• Experience with CSA and NIST CSF frameworks.
• Experience with incident response procedures and on-call rotation.
• Knowledge of security regulations and best practices (ISO 27000).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a security architecture framework aligned to the enterprise strategy.
• Architect and communicate security technologies for a secure, usable cloud environment.
• Define reference patterns for deployment of technology across the firm.
• Lead risk and security assessments and manage the security solutions lifecycle.
• Guide identity and access management for cloud services.
• Provide security guidance across the system development life cycle.
• Stay current with cloud security trends and new tools.
• Collaborate with other architects and engineers to ensure security alignment.
