Job summary

Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates is seeking a Client Accounting Coordinator for a hybrid role in Palo Alto or Los Angeles. You will provide client accounting analysis, billing and collection support to partners and coordinate activity across practice areas to meet service guidelines.

The position requires a bachelor's degree and at least one year of billing/collection experience, with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum one year billing and collection experience with some account analysis functions.
• Ability to learn new software and operating systems; strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide client accounting analysis, billing and collection support to partners.
• Coordinate client accounting activity for assigned partners and practice areas to meet service guidelines.
• Review outstanding invoices and AR to prevent stale or uncollectable balances.
• Prepare bills and internal forms, including back-up for AR write-offs and retainers.
• Maintain partner/client profiles and update tasks for billing, collections, accruals and responses.
