Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom LLP in California invites applications for a Client Accounting Coordinator. The role supports client accounting analysis, billing and collections for partners, coordinating activity across practice areas and with the Client Accounting Supervisor.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year in billing/collection with attention to detail and confidentiality, with hybrid work options in Palo Alto or Los Angeles offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least one year billing and collection experience with account analysis.
• Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex billing and client analysis projects.
• Manage assigned Partner(s) INV (Unbilled and AR) balances.
• Review outstanding INV reports and prevent stale or uncollectable INV.
• Respond to inquiries from clients, attorneys and staff.
• Provide knowledge and support to others in the Firm.
• Formulate strong team relationships internally and externally.
• Prepare bills and back-up to process A/R write-offs and retainer activity.
• Document meetings with partners for actions and follow-up.
• Enhance knowledge of Client Accounting procedures and processes.
• Maintain up-to-date profiles for each partner/client.
• Update task lists for billing, collections, accruals and responses.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication.
