Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in New York City seeks a Client Accounting Accruals Assistant to join our Firm in a hybrid role. The position focuses on client accrual analysis, tracking, and reporting of unbilled legal expenses, working closely with E-Billing and Billing teams to ensure timely and accurate accruals.

You will coordinate accrual requests end-to-end, reconcile matter data, and communicate with clients and partners to resolve discrepancies while maintaining complete files

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum of one year of general office experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate client accrual requests end-to-end.
• Prepare/forward accrual requests, run the relevant data, and compile for distribution.
• Validate and reconcile matter/billing details across E-Billing platforms and Aderant.
• Maintain accrual request administration and distribution controls for deadlines and formatting.
• Oversee matter cleanup and resolve missing/unclear matter identifiers for accrual reporting.
• Handle accrual exceptions and apply special routing requirements for partners/clients.
• Communicate with clients, attorneys, and business services professionals.
• Document meetings and follow-up actions for future reference.
• Escalate issues as needed and interface with E-Billing, Billing & Collections teams.
