Job summary

AXA XL is seeking a Claims Specialist – Design Professional to manage and resolve professional liability claims for architects and engineers across multiple jurisdictions. You will interact with regional practice leaders, brokers, insureds, and counsel to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires evaluating coverage, setting reserves, negotiating settlements, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders under AXA XL guidelines. This is a hybrid role across several office locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Experience handling, negotiating, and resolving complex professional liability claims.
• Licensing: insurance adjuster licenses for required states, or willingness to obtain.
• Proactive, prioritized task management with quality.
• Analytical and technical skills for complex claims.
• Strong collaboration with brokers, insureds, and counsel.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage Design Professional liability claims across jurisdictions.
• Conduct coverage evaluations and develop resolution strategies.

• Coordinate communications with clients, brokers, reinsurers, and vendors.
• Ensure documentation in claim files and adherence to guidelines.
