AXA XL in Morristown, NJ seeks a Claims Specialist – Design Professional to manage professional liability claims for architects and engineers across multiple jurisdictions. You will interact with regional practice leaders, brokers, insureds, and defense counsel, taking ownership of complex issues and coordinating with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in professional liability claims handling at intermediate level.
• Licensing:Insurance adjuster licenses for all states requiring licenses, or willingness to obtain them.
• Strong analytical and technical skills to handle complex claims and set reserves.
• Ability to collaborate with management, counsel, brokers, and insureds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ethical and client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Proactively managing Design Professional liability claims across multiple jurisdictions, including initial review, coverage evaluation, developing resolution strategies, and maintaining stakeholder communication.
• Handle complex claims with authority level, focusing on timely reserves and outcomes.
• Partner with defense counsel on cost-efficient litigation strategies aligned with AXA XL practices.
• Evaluate settlements and participate in mediations and conferences; support claim management throughout.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure top-tier customer service.
