Job summary

AXA XL in the United States is seeking a Claims Specialist – Design Professional to manage professional liability claims for architects and engineers. You will collaborate with regional leaders, brokers, and insureds, taking ownership of critical issues and proactively resolving claims to optimize outcomes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (JD preferred) and claims-handling experience; licensure or willingness to obtain state licenses is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD preferred.
• Experience handling complex professional liability claims.
• Insurance adjuster licenses for required states or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Proactively managing Design Professional liability claims across multiple jurisdictions and reviewing coverage.
• Developing resolution strategies and communicating with stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Partnering with defense counsel on cost-efficient litigation strategies.
• Evaluating settlement value and participating in mediations and conferences.
• Maintaining documentation and high-level client service with insureds and brokers.
