Merchants Insurance Group in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Claims Service Representative to join our Central Claims team. This role features a hybrid schedule with two in-office days weekly and flexible remote days, supporting agents, insureds, claimants, and other customers through timely first contact and accurate claim intake.

Qualified candidates will have an Associates degree or equivalent, prior customer service experience, and comfort with Word.

Qualifikationen

• Associates degree or equivalent work experience.
• Prior customer service experience required.
• Insurance background is a plus.
• Computer experience including Microsoft Word experience.
• ImageRight knowledge is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Provide quality customer service by means of timely first contact and the disposition of policyholders’ comprehensive claims.
• Answers incoming calls and sets up reported claims in the claim system.
• Performs coverage verification and thorough investigation to ensure an equitable disposition of claims.
• Performs claim activities and administrative tasks such as requesting appraisals, police reports, preparing and mailing payment documents, and issuing payments.
