Job summary

Qualifications

• Current licensure as Illinois PE or IL Structural Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Develops policies and procedures for maintenance field operations to achieve efficient maintenance operations.
• Develops policies for winter snow and ice removal operations for the state highway system.
• Oversees vegetation management and capital projects for rest areas and rights-of-way.
• Govers pavement maintenance and preservation policies and serves on the Pavement Preservation Committee.
• Makes recommendations on annual program priorities and budgets for maintenance operations.
• Oversees training programs for central office and districts and ensures proper implementation.
