• Plans, organizes, directs and controls maintenance activities within an assigned area to provide a safe and usable highway system.
• Investigates and meets with residents and officials regarding complaints, access permits and right-of-way problems.
• Inspects construction work performed under permit and by Day Labor to ensure compliance with IDOT standards.
• Assigns, trains, motivates and evaluates personnel; provides technical guidance.
• Manages operating budget for the assigned field area.
• Performs duties consistent with safety rules and fairness to employees.
• Other duties as assigned.
