Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Certified Peer Support Specialist to work in the community, performing home visits in Mount Clemens, MI. The role requires personal recovery experience, certification, and a strong commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centered care.

The position involves collaborating with a team, supporting individuals with complex behavioral health needs, and connecting them to community resources. A driver’s license and willingness to pursue ACT 101 training are required.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate stability in their own recovery and the ability to recognize triggers, maintain professional boundaries, use coping strategies, and seek supervision when necessary.
• You are passionate about serving others.
• Provide supreme customer service, courteous, responsive, professional and helpful to internal and external customers.
• Enjoy working independently and as part of a team.
• Act as a positive role model and coach for others.

Responsibilities

• Embrace recovery principles and encourage staff to follow them.
• Engage persons-served and monitor their wellbeing.
• Participate in liaison activities with families and guardians to build open communication networks.
• Contribute to building community relations and peer review of clinical documentation.
• Provide linking with transportation resources and community living supports.
• Facilitate access to community resources and social support networks.
• Document progress toward goals at the close of each shift.
• Ensure routine data reports are submitted on time.
• Know program/service contract requirements.
• Be knowledgeable of the Program Fidelity Model.
