Job summary

MRCI Client Directed Services seeks an Accounting Specialist I to support the CDS program in a full-time hybrid role based in Mankato, MN. You will maintain accounting functions, collect data, monitor spending, and prepare monthly billings while handling payroll records.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma with related experience or an Associate’s Degree with relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software, and strong math and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma + 3–5 years of related experience, or Associate’s Degree + 1 year of experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software
• Strong math and basic accounting skills
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must pass a MN Department of Human Services background check

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting functions for the CDS program
• Collect and manage data using Excel and accounting software
• Monitor spending plans and process timesheets and claims
• Submit accurate monthly billing to funding sources
• File accounting and payroll records
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
