Job summary

Northeast Family Services in Massachusetts seeks an experienced CBHI Intake Coordinator to manage all aspects of intake, registration, and admissions for five regions. You will work with referral sources, update CBHI data monthly, verify insurance, and schedule appointments while maintaining accurate client rosters.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail oriented, and proficient with payer portals, co-pays, deductibles, and health benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with complex behavioral health needs.
• Familiar with CBHI specifications and payer processes.
• Ability to assess level of care and triage crises.
• At least 1 year of intake and scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of insurance benefits and prior authorizations.
• Proficient with MS Office and EHR systems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent time management and organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage registration and admissions for five MA regions.
• Coordinate referrals, waitlists, and assignments.
• Process intake paperwork and clinical documentation.
• Maintain monthy CBHI updates and client rosters.
• Answer calls, gather referral info, verify coverage, schedule appointments.
