Job summary

Northeast Family Services in Massachusetts is seeking an experienced CBHI Intake Coordinator to manage registration and admissions across five regions. You will collaborate with referral sources, maintain waitlists, and handle intake paperwork including assessments and treatment plans.

This hybrid role requires organizing skills, knowledge of payer portals and insurance, and the ability to triage crisis and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience working with and helping clients/families with complex behavioral health needs.
• Prior experience in behavioral health and familiarity with CBHI performance specifications.
• Experience assessing appropriate level of care for CBHI services and triage of crisis, safety and risk.
• At least 1 year of patient intake and scheduling experience.
• Experience reviewing comprehensive assessments and treatment plans.
• Working knowledge of insurance benefits and authorizations.
• Strong computer literacy including MS Office and EHR.

Responsibilities

• Manage registration and admissions for five regions in Massachusetts.
• Collaborate with referral sources throughout referral, waitlist, and assignment processes.
• Maintain client rosters for waitlist, active, transfer, and discharged clients.
• Process intake paperwork and required clinical documentation such as assessments and treatment plans.
• Monitor Massachusetts Behavioral Health Access updates monthly.
• Answer calls, gather referral information, verify insurance coverage, and schedule appointments.
