Catholic Charities, Diocese of Pittsburgh, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Caseworker to assist payment-challenged and special-needs clients access social services under the CARES program.

The role involves home visits, community events, and coordinating referrals. You will document assessments, determine eligibility, and collaborate with local agencies to connect clients with resources such as SNAP, LIHEAP, and housing support.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in social services or related field.
• Minimum two years of client support experience; internship counts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience with client databases preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to make home visits.
• Act 33/34 and LEIE clearances.

Responsabilités

• Meet with clients in homes or other locations to conduct an assessment.
• Represent CARES program at community fairs and events.
• Determine client eligibility for relevant services.
• Provide internal and external referrals to social services.
• Maintain a network of providers and community contacts.
