Job summary

Career Team is seeking a Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants in workforce programs. You will guide jobseekers toward employment goals, assist with intake and eligibility, and maintain compliant case files while coordinating with program partners.

The role supports hybrid work arrangements, requiring on-site and remote collaboration with a Program Manager and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel and ability to learn specialized databases and software systems.
• Ability to work with diverse customers and be culturally sensitive.
• Knowledgeable about WIOA program requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to community members interested in workforce services.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for assigned workforce programs.
• Assess jobseekers' employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
• Enter data into WIT and process clients through participant information systems.
• Guide jobseekers through individual employment plans based on occupational goals.
• Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on activities.
• Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and group presentations for clients.
