Job summary

Career Team is hiring a Career Advisor to provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow-up services to participants in workforce programs. The role guides jobseekers toward employment, removes barriers, and ensures compliant case management under supervision.

This HYBRID position requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher, strong communication skills, and experience with data systems like WIT. You will partner with leaders and community resources to achieve program benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong communication skills and knowledge about community resources.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-thought-out decisions.
• Must be computer literate with MS Word and Excel skills at minimum.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and case management services to community members interested in workforce services.
• Complete intake and eligibility determination for assigned workforce programs.
• Assess jobseekers' employment, abilities, and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
• Serve as a liaison between workforce development programs and community partners and resources.
• Enter data into WIT and process clients through any participant information system as required.
• Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP).
• Stay on top of labor market trends and best practices in career and training paths.
• Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
• Refer individuals to appropriate services and follow up on those activities.
