Job summary

ESYS AUTOMATION, LLC in Lake Orion, MI, USA is seeking a Buyer to manage end-to-end procurement for complex automation projects. You will work with Engineering, Project Management, and suppliers to source materials, negotiate terms, and ensure on-time delivery throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires experience in manufacturing or engineered-to-order environments, with strong negotiation skills and the ability to read mechanical drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, automation, or engineered-to-order environments.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and controls drawings and BOMs.
• Proven track record managing procurement for complex projects from kickoff to installation.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement from kickoff through FAT, shipment, and installation.
• Lead RFQs/RFPs for automation components and assemblies.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms for low-volume, high-mix components.
• Partner with Project Management to track budgets and cost impacts.
