Job summary

CONVERGIX Automation Solutions in Michigan, USA is seeking a Senior Buyer to own complex procurement for the INDL business. You will guide sourcing decisions, qualify suppliers, and manage critical-path materials while collaborating with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Logistics.

You will leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate RFQ drafts, due diligence, and spend analysis, while ensuring compliance with import/export documentation and cost targets.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of procurement experience in automation, capital equipment or similar.
• Experience negotiating with suppliers and mitigating delivery risk.
• Ability to read supplier quotations, contracts and SOWs.
• Experience with ERP-based purchasing workflows and Excel data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end purchasing execution for projects, commodities, and suppliers.
• Lead supplier selection by integrating technical, quality, and cost factors.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery for critical materials.
• Drive supplier due diligence, qualification, and onboarding.
• Manage supplier performance and corrective actions for critical-path items.
• Support trade compliance and logistics and use AI tools for RFQ drafting and spend analysis.
