Job summary

The candidate will manage projects, drive design improvements, troubleshoot controls systems, and mentor junior engineers. Travel up to 35% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related experience in controls engineering.
• Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Mechatronics, Motion Control, Vision Systems, and/or Programming.
• Solid leadership experience and ability to lead simultaneous projects.
• Experience with CAD (AutoCAD Electrical).

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engineer in development of advanced control systems designs, e.g., robotics, vision systems, SCADA applications and high-level languages for automated equipment.
• Assist with management of assigned projects regarding cost, quality, timing, and customer satisfaction.
• Recognize and implement design and workflow improvements.
• Evaluate problems, determine corrective actions, set plans, execute plans, and develop root cause analyses.
• Troubleshoot robot controllers, ladder logic, electrical control devices, mechanical units, transfer devices, and peripheral equipment.
• Perform machine power up, debug, and programming.
