Zusammenfassung

Convergix Automation Solutions in Michigan seeks a Senior Buyer to own complex direct-material procurement for the INDL business, collaborating closely with Engineering, Project Management, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to meet project goals.

You will negotiate terms, qualify suppliers, and manage critical-path materials while leveraging AI-enabled tools to accelerate RFQs, due diligence, and decision quality, ensuring schedule adherence and cost efficiency.

Qualifikationen

• 5–8 years of procurement experience in automation, capital equipment, machine building, manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environments.
• Experience managing complex direct-material or project-based procurement scope including supplier negotiations, expediting, and delivery-risk mitigation.
• Proficiency with ERP-based purchasing workflows and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze procurement data accurately.

Aufgaben

• Own end-to-end purchasing execution for projects, commodities, and suppliers, including RFQ, PO, receipt follow-up, and issue resolution.
• Lead supplier selection by integrating technical, quality, commercial, and timing factors into sourcing recommendations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, freight terms, and warranties; document final agreements clearly.
• Drive supplier due diligence, qualification, and onboarding with cross-functional teams.
• Manage supplier performance, on-time delivery, quality, and corrective actions for critical items.
• Develop sourcing actions to improve delivery, reduce risk, and generate cost reductions.
• Monitor material status, coordinate recovery plans, and protect build schedules.
