Job summary

Xcel Energy is offering a Business Analyst Intern role within the Credit & Collections tower as part of its CIS Modernization Program. Based in Amarillo, TX or Eau Claire, WI with a hybrid schedule and occasional Denver collaboration, the intern will learn to gather requirements, design workshops, document as-is and to-be processes, and support analysis on a large-scale transformation.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher enrolled in college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, IS, Business Analytics, Data Analytics or Data Science.
• Minimal travel of 10-15% and hybrid in-person work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, documenting, and organizing business requirements for Credit & Collections.
• Support requirements and design workshops; prepare materials and capture notes.
• Document current-state and future-state processes; maintain traceability.
• Compile data to support analysis, decision-making, and status reporting.
• Coordinate with SMEs and other towers to clarify questions.
• Support testing activities by documenting test scenarios and tracking results.
