Job summary

Xcel Energy in Eau Claire, WI, offers an internship in a hybrid setup with a May 24, 2027 start. The Business Transformation team supports the Credit & Collections tower, helping gather requirements, design workshops, and document current and future processes while building enterprise-transformation experience.

You will work with mentors, learn business analysis in a large-scale utility program, and gain hands-on exposure to finance and operations in a respected energy company.

Qualifications

• Current student, Sophomore or higher.
• Pursuing a Finance, Accounting or Economics degree; IS/Business Analytics/Data Analytics/PM also acceptable.
• Minimal travel 10–15%.
• Able to work full-time during the summer (40 h/week) or part-time during the school year (20 h/week) in person.

Responsibilities

• Assist in gathering, documenting, and organizing business requirements for Credit & Collections processes.
• Support requirements and design workshops—prepare materials and capture notes, decisions, and actions.
• Document current ('as-is') and future ('to-be') processes; maintain traceability.
• Compile and summarize data to support analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate with subject-matter experts and other teams to clarify questions.
• Support testing by documenting test scenarios and tracking results.
