The Business Transformation Intern will support the Customer Core (CIS Modernization) program within the Products & Services Tower at Xcel Energy, based in Minneapolis, MN. The team is responsible for designing and delivering future-state customer, billing, and product/service processes as part of a large-scale enterprise transformation.
As the program transitions into detailed design, development, and training preparation, the intern will work alongside business leads, product owners, and cross-functional tower teams (e.g., billing, reporting, and customer experience) to help translate business requirements into actionable deliverables. This includes supporting process design documentation, identifying gaps (e.g., non-SAP integration considerations), and preparing materials that enable successful system build, testing, and end-user training. The intern will gain exposure to large-scale utility transformation, regulatory considerations, and how business, technology, and data teams collaborate to deliver customer-focused outcomes. Work will be performed in a hybrid environment based in Minneapolis or Denver, with frequent interaction across distributed teams.
This position is for a May 24, 2027 start date. This position may have the possibility to extend beyond the internship’s initial term based on the candidate’s successful performance and Xcel Energy’s business needs.
Non-BargainingThe anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $18.20 to $24.50 per hourThis position is eligible for the following benefits: Pension, 401(k) plan, Paid time off (PTO), Holidays
