Job summary

Consumers Credit Union, headquartered in Lake Forest, IL, seeks a Branch Specialist for our Elgin branch. This hybrid role blends concierge, teller, and personal banking duties, delivering exceptional member service and guiding customers through transactions and product referrals.

You will open accounts, assist with ITM guidance, and participate in branch operations with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and a strong member experience. This is an early-career opportunity in banking.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of similar work experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Comfortable promoting products and educating members.
• Proficient with data processing platforms, email, internet/intranet, IM, and MS Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members in the branch and assist with drive-up service.
• Guide members through self-service transactions and ITM features.
• Assist with teller transactions, resolve issues, maintain accounts, and complete tasks per Branch Manager guidance.
• Open new consumer accounts efficiently and accurately.
• Identify opportunities to refer members to loans, mortgages, and wealth services.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance experience and branch efficiency.
• Follow all policies, procedures, and balancing standards.
