Job summary

Insurance Office of America (IOA) seeks a Branch Operations Manager - Commercial Lines to lead branch operations, manage teams, and drive strategic initiatives. The role includes budgeting, policy implementation, and high-level client management in a hybrid California setting.

You will oversee HR processes, performance standards, and professional development while promoting IOA values and engagement across the branch.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of insurance industry experience with deep knowledge
• 2+ years of management experience
• Active property & casualty licensing required
• Exceptional account management skills; spends 50%+ of time on a book of business
• Outstanding communication, people management, and negotiation skills
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities and workflow of the branch team.
• Drive annual strategic and tactical plans for the branch.
• Manage branch P&L, costs, and financial goals.
• Oversee budgeting and annual financial planning.
• Communicate leadership vision and mission for the branch.
• Recruit and onboard staff; support merger/acquisition opportunities.
• Ensure HR processes and policies are followed; performance monitoring.
• Develop and maintain relationships with IOA leadership and clients.
• Drive process improvements and ensure policy compliance.
• Manage an assigned book of business up to 50% of time.
