Job summary

Tompkins Bank & Trust is seeking a Branch Teller/Customer Service role focused on accurate teller processing, customer support, and proactive relationship building. You will contribute to branch operations and assist with sales and referrals to grow client relationships.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in customer service or sales (banking preferred), and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of two years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related role; banking experience preferred.
• Active NMLS registration or ability to secure it upon hire.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process teller transactions accurately and balance branch as required.
• Respond to customer inquiries and coordinate services with appropriate departments.
• Identify client needs and recommend products to deepen relationships and referrals.
• Provide branch coverage, including Saturday work and support at other company locations.
• Support compliance, security, and lending processes per policy.
