Troutman Pepper Locke LLP seeks a Billing Specialist to manage client invoices in client formats, print prebills, and prepare finals for attorney review. You will input exemptions, manage alternate rates, and generate billing statistics in Excel, while ensuring timely communication with attorneys and clients.

The role requires 3+ years of law firm billing experience, a Bachelor's degree, and strong MS Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
• At least 3 years of law firm billing experience.
• Experience with Aderant/CMS strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsabilités

• Edit prebills to adjust time and disbursements and transfers.
• Print, sort, and distribute prebills for attorney review and final invoices.
• Maintain accurate client billing addresses and update information.
• Enter exemptions and monitor month-end status; manage approvals for write-offs.
• Input alternate rates accurately and generate billing statistics in Excel.
• Communicate with attorneys to meet billing deadlines and resolve issues.
• Submit, process, and track invoices; address billing inquiries promptly.
• Provide updates in monthly meetings on WIP and timekeeper status.
• Respond to internal/external client inquiries in a timely manner.
