Job summary

Wheeler Clinic is seeking a Bilingual Crisis Clinician to provide crisis assessment, intervention, and stabilization for youth (birth to 17) in the Hartford area. This full‑time hybrid role includes licensure reimbursement and specialty trainings within the MCIS program, with field responses and coordination with emergency departments and schools.

The position requires a Master’s in MFT, Social Work, Counseling or a Doctoral degree in Psychology and CT licensure eligibility, plus a valid

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling or a Doctoral degree in Psychology.
• Licensure requirements for clinical positions: LMSW, LCSW, LMFTA, LMFT, LPCA, LPC or licensed or license-eligible Psychologist in CT.
• Valid Driver's License required, drives in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts program-specific screening and evaluation and documents DSM-based diagnoses.
• Develops crisis and treatment plans in collaboration with client/family.
• Provides mobile crisis interventions in community settings and coordinates linkage to services.
• Performs referrals and follows up to ensure continuity of care.
• Communicates effectively with clients, families, and providers; attends required meetings.
• Coordinates with EMPS/MCIS teams and participates in training and supervision.
