Job summary

Wheeler Clinic in the Bridgeport/Norwalk area seeks a bilingual Senior Counselor to support emerging adults aged 17–21. You will help clients secure housing, employment, education, and essential life skills through a program-specific model, with ongoing training and supervision.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or counseling, fluency in English and Spanish, a valid driver’s license, and a commitment to youth development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field is required.
• Experience working with young adults and at-risk youth.
• Fluency in English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Assess and develop treatment plans for young adults.
• Provide group, individual, and/or family counseling.
• Coordinate care with internal and external providers.
• Maintain documentation for client records in compliance with Medicaid and licensing.
• Deliver crisis intervention and safety planning as needed.
• Support transportation and on-site/community-based service delivery.
