Job summary

Symetra is seeking a Benefits Support Specialist to assist Implementation and Account Managers in onboarding new Employer Group accounts and servicing existing ones, including Group Life, Disability, Absence Management, and Voluntary Benefits. The role focuses on client relationships and supporting the National Service Team to ensure renewals, retention, and happiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, college degree is a plus.
• Certifications or designations relevant to this role are preferred.
• 2-4 years of cumulative, relevant experience are expected.

Responsibilities

• Establish and nurture positive relationships with internal and external partners and handle routine service activities.
• Prepare administrative and marketing documents, enrollment materials, and plan summaries with attention to detail.
• Conduct initial enrollment census evaluations and coordinate with Implementation Managers on updates and renewals.
• Coordinate renewal processes, review audit renewal letters, and collaborate with sales for plan design changes and renewal terms to improve client satisfaction and policy persistency.
• Record and manage contract amendments with internal teams and assist with travel or special assignments as needed.
• Ensure tracking resources are accurate, verify sold case notifications, and communicate new sales to the team.
• Support Account Management, Implementation, and Leadership on department improvements and special projects.

Education
